    AEA delegates and Inuili Food College students and staff came together to showcase recipes from their collaborative cookbook, “A Taste of Two Worlds,” during a community culinary event at the college in Narsaq.

    Delegates, students, and staff co-created traditional recipes using locally-sourced ingredients to demonstrate the connections between Maine and Greenland with an emphasis on cultural connections between the Wabanaki community in Maine and the Greenlandic community.

  • Sustainable Tourism & Land Use

    AEA delegates and Campus Kullajeq students and faculty participated in presentations from UAF and our Wabanaki partners at Wabanaki Public Health & Wellness.

    Delegates, students, and faculty participated in educational programming and training involving sustainable tourism assessments, site management, and indigenizing tourism efforts.

  • Land Use

    -At the request of UNESCO staff, AEA delegates and Campus Kullajeq staff and students conducted tourism site assessments at Uunartoq hot springs and community stakeholder interviews in the nearby settlement of Alluitsup Paa to understand the tourism management needs and wants of local community members.

    -The Department of Environment and Mineral Resources at the Greenland Institute of Natural Resources (GINR) collaborated on the satellite imagery drone research at USM by Dr. Firooza Pavri with a focus on agricultural development-based needs of local sheep farms in South Greenland. Face to face meetings at GINR were held in June while Dr. Pavri traveled to South Greenland to share her data.
